You should start with this bestselling book on influence by Robert Cialdini. It is the basis for understanding how influence and persuasion works. His premise is that our world is too information-rich. So people rely on shortcuts for decision-making instead of making rational choices. Cialdini explains these six principles of influence in his book and shows how you could use them in your own life.
